Ideojn is a learning app you can use with or without an account. This page says what is stored where, and who else handles it.

On your device

Your courses, lessons, quizzes, and learning progress are stored in your browser, on your device. They aren't sent to Ideojn's servers, with or without an account. Clearing your browser's data for app.ideojn.com removes them; export a course to keep a copy.

With an account

If you create an account, Ideojn's servers store:

• your email address, and a display name if you add one;
• your signed-in browsers: a description taken from the browser (such as “Chrome on Windows”), and when each signed in and was last used. The token in your browser's cookie is stored only as a one-way hash;
• each sign-in code you ask for, as a record kept for at most a day. The codes themselves are never stored;
• counters that limit how often codes can be asked for, kept for at most two days. They're keyed by one-way hashes of your email address and network address, never by the addresses themselves.

Signing in doesn't upload your library.

Who else handles it

• Sign-in codes are emailed by Resend, which receives your address and the message. Ideojn sends no newsletters or marketing email.
• The app, this site, and Ideojn's servers run on Cloudflare, which processes the requests that deliver them.

Cookies and analytics

The app sets two cookies, both needed to sign in:

• __Host-ideojn_pre, while you sign in (for up to an hour), so a code works only in the browser that asked for it;
• __Host-ideojn_session, which keeps you signed in: for up to 180 days, or until 30 days pass without use.

There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and the app has no analytics. This website (ideojn.com) counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.

Deleting your account

Delete your account from Profile, in the app; it asks for a new code first. Your account, its signed-in browsers, and any open sign-in codes are removed at once. The library on your device stays there. Deleted records can remain in the database provider's point-in-time recovery history for up to 30 days, and in the email provider's delivery records for as long as it keeps them.
